Actual Radio Named Official Radio Partner For The Clacton Airshow 2026

Actual Radio has been announced as the official radio broadcast partner for this year's Clacton Airshow, bringing live coverage of one of Essex's biggest summer events to audiences wherever they are.

The station will broadcast live throughout the two-day spectacular on Thursday 27th and Friday 28th August, delivering dedicated programming from the Essex Sunshine Coast as the Clacton Airshow celebrates its 33rd year.

Listeners can expect live commentary from the familiar Radio Airshow team of Ian Wyatt, Steve Scruton and Sam Williams, alongside interviews with special guests, behind-the-scenes features and music across both days.

For the first time, Radio Airshow will be available across multiple platforms, making it easier than ever to tune in. Audiences will be able to listen by asking their smart speaker to "Play Radio Airshow", through the free Actual Radio app, or online via the Actual Radio website.

Tendring District Council has welcomed the partnership, saying it will help bring the excitement of the airshow to an even wider audience.

The airshow continues to grow year on year, and this collaboration will add another exciting dimension – whether people are listening from the seafront, around the district or further afield. Actual Radio's coverage will help capture the atmosphere, excitement and heritage of this fantastic event, making it a perfect fit for this year's theme, A Celebration of Aviation."

Presenter Steve Scruton said he was looking forward to returning to the event.
