    Actual Radio is committed to ensuring that your information is as safe as possible. We have strict security procedures covering the storage and disclosure of your information in order to prevent unauthorised access and to comply with EU GDPR and UK Data Protection laws.

    When and why do we collect information?

    When you register with us or submit a form, we will collect your contact information (such as your name, telephone number, postal address and e-mail address). If you register to win a competition, we will not share your information with ANY third party.

    We use your contact information to send you information about our company, products or services in which we think you might be interested, or to contact you when necessary. From time to time, we may also use your information to contact you to invite you to take part in optional research about the website or Actual Radio.

    If you request certain products or services, we will need to share your personal information with the company or organisation direct providing this product or service, please tick the relevant box when you send us your details at that time.

    We reserve the right to access and disclose individually identifiable information to comply with applicable GDPR laws and lawful government requests, to operate our IT systems properly or to protect ourselves and our users. If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please e-mail us AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, so that we may correct this.

    Persistent Cookies – we use various cookies to aid the workings of the website. For example: when you accept this Privacy and Cookie Policy by either clicking the ‘I Accept’ button in the pop up box or continuing to browse round the website, a cookie called cookie-agreed-en will be created so we know not to show you the pop up box and cookie warning anymore when you revisit the website.

    Remarketing – third party vendors, including Google, show you ads on sites on the internet. Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to our Actual Radio website. You can opt-out of a 3rd party vendor’s use of cookies by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative opt out page.

    Actual Radio App – if you have downloaded our app and you access our App service from a mobile phone or tablet we uniquely identify each instance of the application, but we will not be able to personally identify you from this information.

    Other third Party Cookies – services like YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook also use cookies – when we include external content on pages such as videos or Twitter feeds cookies may be used by these services. You can disable cookies in the Settings for your web browser. Disabling cookies may effect how well some websites function. We do not recommend it. From time to time we will update this page.     Catch-up – on our catch-up page, we have audio that is kept as a log online. There will be information within the audio of contact details, to which when guests are interviewed on the radio, consent to do so. If you wish for the audio to be removed, please contact us AS SOON AS POSSIBLE so we may take the appropriate action.

    Texts and Emails – we may from time to time, read out the body text of your text or emails that are sent to the studio of Actual Radio. If you do not agree to this, please stipulate in the email or text that you send. We will NEVER divulge contact details, email addresses or phone numbers ‘on air’ without your direct consent.

    Links to other websites – our website may contain links to enable you to visit other websites of interest easily. However, once you have used these links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over other websites. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information, which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by our privacy policy. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy statement applicable to that website.

    You may request a copy of all information that we hold for you AT ANY TIME. You can also request that we delete all information that we hold for you AT ANY TIME. You may request for your information to be deleted by emailing via the contact us page and follow the instructions.
