Black Sunday Film Festival 2026 is a three-day celebration of independent genre cinema taking place at Firstsite, Colchester from Friday 30th January to Sunday 1st February 2026. It showcases a curated programme of horror, thriller, fantasy, documentary and cult films from around the world, including feature presentations, short films, filmmaker Q&As and the festival’s signature cult film secret screening. The festival aims to spotlight bold, boundary-pushing work from indie filmmakers and bring genre cinema to passionate audiences in Essex.
